Kanga Loaders 33 years hire strong
ToroAustraliawill enter thenation’s
horizontal directional drilling (HDD)
machinemarket in early 2014, with a line
of powerfulmachines and service support.
The expansion intoHDD follows the
purchase in2012of AstecUnderground, a
manufacturer of directional drills, riding
trenchers andother utility products, by The
ToroCompany of theUSA, ToroAustralia’s
parent company.
The first Toro-brandedmid-range
HDDmachines are scheduled to arrive in
Australia inearly 2014. They include two
directional drill and two riding trencher
models, typically used in the installation,
repair and replacement of underground
utility infrastructure.

Greg said Torohad alsodeveloped
partnershipswith industry leaders to
support thenewmachines.
These include suppliers of ancillary
equipment like locating and tracking
systems, drill rods, tooling anddrilling
fluids.

Maxi loader has beendesigned todeliver
increaseddigging force, allowing extended
reach, increaseddumpheight and two
speed transmission increasingground
speed. TheKanga Series 8 is powered
by the 25hpKubotadiesel andwith the
optionof a trackorwheel version.
All Kanga Loaders units are compatible
withover 60 attachments,making them
