Anewone stop shopmobile–app – EventAgent – for anyone
organising awedding, event, party or function is tobe launched
early inMay for a 60day trial periodprior to its planned ‘go live’
dateof 1 July.
Themobile appwas designedby industrymembers for theevent
industry and aims to link events supplierswithevent organisers.
According to SamRowse, fromChallenger Events, appdeveloper,
EventAgent is aone stop shop, servicing sixAustralian states.
“EventAgent is for thehundreds of thousands of Australians
whoorganise events or special occasions each year – fromamother
organising a first birthday party to abride andgroomorganising
theirwedding,” Sam said.
“The aim is toorganiseAustralia’s event suppliers andput them in
thepockets of thepeoplewhoneed them.”
Free todownload for endusers, EventAgentwill linkorganisers to
anonlinedatabaseof event suppliers via fourmainevent categories,
including:Weddings, Functions/Conferences, Events, and Parties.
These four categories are thenbrokendown into 35 further sub
categories, including areas such as: fencing; catering; audio visual;
exhibitions; furniture;marquees; portaloos; theming andpower.
EventAgentwill then allow event organisers to find event
suppliers by:
• Location (proximity to searchpositionor event location)
• Event Type –wedding, party, event/fundraiser or conference/
function
• Supply category (35+ categories).
Thenewappwill be a subscriptionmodel whereby event suppliers
pay an annual subscription for the rights to showcase their brand
and services. From the start ofMayuntil theendof June, EventAgent
will be in trialmodewithplans to feature approximately 550events
supply businesses Australiawide.
Sam said all trial supplier participantswill beoffered a special
monthly subscription rateof $22/month for apremium listing. For
every other supplier that comes onboard from 1 July, themonthly
subscription ratewill be $33/month.
“There areno lock-in contracts or subscriptionperiods. Sign-up for
onemonthor signup for 12months,” Sam said.
“We are from theevents industry sowehave agood ideaof the
industry’s needs andwhat aspects the app shouldhave.Wewill trial
theapp and adapt it according to feedback. Thenweplan togo live
for the start of thenew financial year,” Sam said.
During the trial period, EventAppwill only be available for iPhones
but immediately it goes liveon 1 July, the appwill be expanded to
all smart phones.
