Manitou Australia has launched its
Manitou Farm loader, the MLT-X 627:
a Telescopic Handler offering safety,
productivity and cost efficiency specifically
when compared to tractor front end loader
solutions.
“With the addition of the Manitou
MLT-X627 Manitou has a complete offer
for on farm handling applications, big or
small,” Stuart Walker, Managing Director at
Manitou Australia said.
The Manitou MLT-X627 has a lift capacity
of 2700kg and a lift height of nearly 6m.
It is compatible with a wide range of
Manitou attachments, for a range of
applications. When fitted with a general
purpose Ag bucket the Manitou MLT-X627
delivers 50% greater productivity than a

A 100% Manitou patented design, the
JSM “Joystick” is fitted as standard on
all versions of the MLT series. The new
JSM control lever combines the standard
functions found in the MLT range.

Chicago Pneumatic has launched the
CPS 70 portable air compressor, which
combines robust build with easy, efficient
and environmentally friendly operation.
Redstar Equipment is the authorised
national distributor for Chicago Pneumatic
portable diesel powered compressor range

The CPS 70 features high ground
clearance, which allows it to be towed
easily over difficult terrain. The compressor
also includes a lifting point so it can be
moved into place by crane if necessary.
The new compressor has a simple but
effective control panel incorporating a start
switch, hours-run counter, pressure gauge
and control light, and offers hassle-free
starting. There is no load switch and no
valves to be adjusted before starting.
Other key features include a spillage-
free frame that ensures no oil, coolant or
fuel can leak onto the ground and cause
contamination; modular construction that
allows easy customisation, if required; and
a top cover with a large angle of opening

The operator’s left
hand is therefore
completely free for
steering and the
right hand free to
control of the boom
and select the
direction of travel.
The JSM offers
improved manual control. The curved form
and alignment of the new control handle
provides better support and positioning for
the hand.
It reduces the level of force that needs to
be exerted by the wrist and releases the
“precision grip” (the thumb and index
finger) to operate the most frequently used
functions. The joystick therefore “falls
into” the hand and the right-hand console
provides a wide and comfortable rest for
the forearm.

Stringent
measures
have also
been taken
to maximise
the reliability
of the fuel
supply
system.
The translucent 28-litre fuel tank, which
is marked with five-litre gradations to
allow easy checking of the fuel level, is
removable for easy cleaning. It has a large
filling aperture and an integral strainer to
guard against fuel contamination and is
complemented by a fuel filter with an air
vent that works together with the electric
fuel pump to ensure easy starting.
The new Chicago Pneumatic CPS 70
portable compressor uses a fuel-efficient
Kubota engine with a maximum speed
of 3400rpm. It has a nominal working
pressure of 7 bars and a free air delivery
(FAD) of 70cfm. The compressor is also
provided with two G¾” air connections.
Chicago Pneumatic also offers a range
of pneumatic tools for use with the CPS
70 compressor, including, chipping and
rotary hammers; core and surface rock
drills; pneumatic breakers; rivet busters;
scabblers; tampers and concrete vibrators.
