When Tamworth resident, Peter Sharpe,
decided he needed a straw shed, he was
surprised with the help he received from
Kennards Hire Concrete Care.
“The shed measures 9x12m and features
straw bales laid in a running bond
pattern, like brickwork,” Peter said. “It’s
all secured with tensioned wire.”
Three rendering coats of sand, lime and
concrete mix were needed to bind the
walls, requiring the use of specialist
equipment. With nothing available locally,
Peter contacted Kennards Hire Concrete

Grid to Go hybrid generator is a solid
state power generator that can be used on

Travelling six hours to pick up the
equipment from Kennards Hire Concrete
Care in Artarmon, Sydney, Peter was given
a full tutorial on how to operate the Grout
Pump and mortar gun properly.
When it came time to return the piece of
equipment to Artarmon, a Kennards Hire
staff member met with Peter’s wife at a
petrol station halfway between Tamworth
and Sydney to save her driving six hours.
