Makinex has designed two new
attachments for its Powered Hand Truck,
the strap frame and glass sucker.
The PHT-140 is a materials handling
solution that enables one person
operation, to safely lift and load
equipment or bulky goods weighing up
to 140kg (309lbs). Made of lightweight
aluminium and powered by a 12V
rechargeable battery, the PHT-140 easily
manoeuvres equipment with a lifting
eye by the use of a hook attachment.
Makinex also developed a fork
attachment suitable for pallets.
The new strap frame attachment
combines with the fork attachment. The
new glass sucker is used to lift heavy
glass sheets in glazing applications.
Makinex has improved the charging
system, produced a more robust folding
wheel, added a safety latch to the hook
and reduced the weight of the tilt head
system for more flexibility.

Powered Hand Truck gets
two new attachments
The cooling systems in hire and rental
equipment engines can be difficult to
flush completely due to accumulated
debris from parts erosion, system neglect,
incorrect or non-compatible coolants, and
electrolysis, Gates Australia said.
Gates said it is important the cooling
system is cleaned by flushing debris to
maintain rental equipment performance
and to avoid downtime associated with
cooling system repairs. A complete cooling
system flush can be achieved by using
the Gates Power Clean Flush Tool with
patented pulsing technology.
Using clean water and compressed
air, the Power Clean Flush Tool ‘water
hammers’ accumulated sludge and
scale deposits without the use of harsh
chemicals or solvents. It cleans radiators,
heat exchangers, hoses and engine blocks
more effectively than conventional flushes,
maintains system integrity and ensures
warranty coverage on replacement parts,
including water pumps, Gates said.
The Power Clean Flush Tool Kit includes:
• Pulsating gun assembly with pre-set
regulator
Maintain equipment using the flush tool
• Water line backflow preventer
• Large rubber tip for radiator necks and
direct flushing of engine block
• Small rubber tip on whip hose for direct
access to heater core tube stubs
• 5/8” & 3/4” heater hose barbs for
flushing heater core or engine blocks.
• Durable protective storage case with
room for accessory items.
The larger heavy duty cone accessory
piece is recommended for use with the
larger porting of heavy duty cooling
systems on some equipment. This tool is
also effective on external cleaning of the
heat exchanger ‘stacks’.
