Echo Barrier, supplier of the ‘H’
series of noise reduction barriers, has
designed, created and manufactured
the Generator Set Enclosure, which can
be quickly installed around generators
to dramatically reduce unwanted and
excessive noise.
The ‘enclosure’ comprises acoustic
barriers with sloped extension pieces
fitted with patented waterproof and
sound absorbing material. It can be
designed with or without a door and is
available in a range of sizes.
The ‘Gen Set’ is waterproof, lightweight
and has no dangerous fibreglass of
rockwool in its make-up. It comes with
reflective strips for night-time safety as
standard and is aesthetically enhancing
for a site, giving ample opportunity for
users to advertise and market their
company identity.
The acoustic enclosure can be rented
and is delivered to site by the Echo
Barrier team.

Introducing the
Gen Set Enclosure
The M500-2 is in the 50m3 class, and
delivers compressed air from 4 to 10.3 bar.
Maximum free air delivery varies from
38m³/min (10.3 bar) to 45.8m³/min
(6.9 bar). The M500-2 combines the
advantages of a dry-running rotary screw
compressor with those of a portable
machine and can be integrated into
compressor stations controlled by a
master control system.
At the heart of the Mobilair 500-2
is a proven two-stage dry running
rotary screw compressor. Thanks to
an innovative special coating that

the machine’s sandblasted, phosphated
rotors show no signs of wear, even after
many years of operation. This translates
to consistent high energy efficiency and
no increase in fuel consumption over
the operating life of the machine. A large
capacity fuel tank enables back-to-back

need to refuel. Continuous operation is
also possible via an optional external fuel
tank. The Caterpillar C18 diesel engine is
rated at 447.5kW.
The Mobilair 500-2 comes with an
integrated Sigma Control mobile
controller which automatically adjusts
the motor speed to the exact pressure
set-point between 4 and 10.3 bar.
