Lighting tower technology pioneer,
Allmandhas increased its presence
inAustralia through a strengthened
relationshipwithCompressedAir and
Power (CAPS) Australia.

introducing thenew ‘Mine Spec’model
intoour range.”
TheAllmandMine Spec lighting tower
has six 1,250Wattmetal halide lamps on
an adjustablehead, poweredby a1.5
litreCaterpillar enginedriving a15kW
generator. Built towithstanda rangeof
arduousminingoperating environments,
theMine Spec features heavy-duty
components, a265 litre fuel tank, and can
safety illuminate anarea the sizeof one
andahalf tennis courtswitha total light
output of 900,000 lumens.

mechanism toelevate the lamphead

TheAllmandMine Spec has a
telescoping light towerwith six
super highoutput 1250Wattmetal
halide lamps on an adjustable head
to almost 8m above
theground. Intuitive
adjustment of the lamp
head allows accurate
positioningof the lights
beforeextending towers,
with the tower able tobe
raised to its full height in
25 seconds.
While the sectional
tower is a typical design,
both towers incorporate
nylonguide sleeveswhich
give smoothoperationand
help stabilise the tower
whenextended, enabling
theunit towithstandwind
gusts of up to100kph. An
integrated cabledrum
allows safeandneat
extension and retraction
of thepower cable. The
units arebuilt in the
US and complywith all
Australian regulations and
standards.

“Thesenewunits help
achieve this through
havingenvironmental fluid
containment systems, battery
isolation andemergency stop
buttons as standardalong
withother options including
fireextinguishers andauto
start/stop controllers.”
