Abigroup is utilising a compact Fuso
4500 litre capacity self-drive water cart
at a Newcastle water treatment plant
construction site.
Abigroup’s site superintendent,
Angelo Genua, said: “The Fuso water
truck is ideal for this site because it can
easily be deployed to settle dust arising
from movement of other construction
vehicles when they traverse the tracks
between large tanks, buildings and other
infrastructure.
“The fact any of our people with a car
licence can easily operate the truck is a
big bonus for us. The water cart is small
enough to be parked out of the way of
other machinery being used on the site,
which is better from a safety point of view.
Having the water cart close by means it can
be quickly put into use when the site needs
watering.
“Many of our operators are truck
licensed, however it’s a real advantage to
have a compact, car licensed water truck
on site that can be driven by anyone with

pressurised dribble bar with fan jets.
The Fuso can deliver approximately
6kms of spraying to one tank.

power steering, power ABS brakes, hill
start assist and reliable Honda pumps.
