Named after the goddess of Wisdom, the
Athena will self-level on slopes up to 20
degrees on both the X and Y axis; ie: front
to back and side to side – a feature never
before seen in a scissor lift. This means
no bulky out riggers and no packing of
wheels, ASPAC’s Martin Eade said.
According to Martin, the Athena will have
great application because:
• on tracks – (virtually eliminates the risk
of getting bogged);
• can self-level on steep inclines (up to
20 degrees);
• compact enough to easily get down the
sides of a house (1200mm wide);
• light enough for easy transport
(from1700kg).
Features include: independently levelling
tracks; dual power source; maximum
working height: 8m; traverses almost at
full height; no outriggers; one-step set up;

Tracked Scissor Lift.
ideal for external and internal
works; and excellent transfer
speed.
Available in two sizes, the
Athena 630 has a 6.35m
working height while the 850
has an 8m working height
with both models able to be
driven close to full height.
The Athena comes standard
with a Honda Petrol Engine
and 240V functionality and
has an on board generator
enabling the use of power tools even
when the 240V power function is not
being used.
“The Athena is a totally new concept in
Scissor Lifts,” Martin said.
“Traditional slab scissors can only be
used on flat, level, hard surfaces whereas
rough terrain units are large and heavy,
have to be transported via truck and can't
be used in backyards due to their size.
“The Athena by contrast can go
anywhere, on virtually any surface and
with its massive 20 degree auto levelling
function can be used on virtually every
job, every day."
