ACCESS in ACTION

“Each model offers the high quality and

productivity customers expect from

Genie equipment to support their needs

in the construction, waste handling,

recycling, industrial and logistics sectors,”

Mike Randle, Terex Aerial Work Platforms

Australia, Engineering Manager said.

All three new telehandlers have

undergone stringent testing, day after day

for hundreds of hours – the equivalent

of 10 years’ operation in the jobsite

environment, Mike said.

Providing a lifting height of up to 5.79m

(19ft), a maximum lifting capacity of

2,500kg (5,511lbs) and a lifting capacity

of 2,000kg (4,409lbs) at maximum height,

the Genie GTH-2506 compact telehandler

combines exceptional capabilities with

the benefits of a small footprint.

“The axles of the Genie GTH-2506 are

equipped with double brake discs to

combine the advantages of increased

braking power with the durability

required to operate for long hours in

rough jobsite conditions,” Mike said.

Offering lifting heights of up to 13.57m

(44ft 6in) and 17.61m (57ft), a maximum

lifting capacity of 4,000kg (8,818lbs) and

a lifting capacity of 3,000kg (6,614lbs) and

2,000kg (4,409lbs) at maximum height,

Next generation telehandlers

Genie has developed a range of new telehandlers, the compact Genie GTH-2506,

the high reach Genie GTH-4014 and the Genie GTH-4018.

the Genie GTH-4014

and Genie GTH-4018

high reach telehandlers

provide increased

lifting performance

on outriggers. The

hydrostatic transmission

and the new gearbox offer

the benefits of high torque

and high traction speeds.

On the jobsite, their long

reach, class-leading

outside turning radius,

overall machine width

and excellent drivability,

provide operators the

ability to work more

productively when

performing construction

tasks up to five or six

floors high, or tasks such as masonry in

congested and confined spaces.

The cab in the new Genie telehandler

series has been redesigned to include an

air suspension operator seat, improved

joystick ergonomics, a tinted top view

front window, a large glove box and

manual holder inside the door, plus a

repositioned air conditioning duct to

optimise operator comfort. New control

features include an electrically controlled

parking brake, operated by an intuitive

switch on the dashboard for increased

braking efficiency.

The machines now offer solutions to help

minimise damage, such as rubber or steel

mudguards, a toughened spring back and

folding rear view mirror, and tough steel

protected front and rear lights.

The valve bank, the fuel tank, the

radiator, filters and greasing points are all

positioned within easy reach. Hydraulic

boom greasing points are also simple

to access. Even the engine covers are

designed to open at just the right angle

for comfortable access.

The use of common components

and accessories help reduce storage

costs, and is also beneficial in terms of

operator and technical training. Whether

it’s a Genie Compact or High Reach

telehandler, the same training applies to

improve productivity in the field.

The telehandlers have been revised to

combine: an integrated load management

system featuring seven inch colour

display with dynamic load chart

with reversing camera and optional

forward and side cameras; increased

lifting heights, improved load lifting

performance, increased manoeuvrability

and enhanced drivability over rough

terrain; and new emissions standards:

new Stage IIIB engines. Contact: 07 3456

The 12V electric Power Tower also now

has a two man, 250kg outdoor rating

when equipped with the optional

stabiliser leg kit. With a total weight of

310kg, the powered scaffold tower has a

maximum platform height of 3.1m.

Designed and manufactured in the UK,

the Power Tower is a simple, push around

powered articulating boom access

platform, providing simple, effortless

access up to 5.1m working height (from

the ground or approximately 6m when

ute mounted). The Power Tower has a

compact working footprint (0.78m wide

x 1.5m long) and will easily pass through

Power Tower 5.10 Mast Lift

standard doorways. Monitor Lifts

can provide ute and truck mounting

kits for most vehicles which provides

approximately 1m extra working height

and is rated for two persons outdoors.

A quick-tach system allows the Power

Tower to be simply put on or taken off

the vehicle as required.

The Power Tower also features non-slip,

non-corrosion decking with removable

handrails for tight access as well as

heavy-duty Auto-Lok castors which

provide a secure base.

The Power Tower from Monitor Industries is a push into

position, mobile access platform, designed to provide a

variety of safe, convenient and practical solutions when

working at lower heights.
