rotary screw compressor, the FS-Curtis FAC
Series range is available in both box and
trailer configurations.
The box type compressors are designed
for mounting in confined spaces such as
on service trucks and the range includes
14 models offering flow rates from
1.6m³/min through to 36m³/min. Routine
maintenance is easy with access from one
side, and all units have lockable, silenced
and weatherproof all-steel cabinets.
Trailer type compressors offer towable
mobility. Glenco has 20 models on offer
including single axle on-road models up
to 11m³/min and larger dual axle off-road
models up to
28.3m³/min. The
trailers can also
be converted
to box type
configuration
to suit changing
requirements.

WA based Pumps Australia’s latest
high pressure cleaner – the PX15-280SD
operates at 4000psi at 15 litres per minute
with a Honda IGX 13HP auto throttle
control engine with load sensing forms.
John Warne, Pumps Australia CEO
said: “Making use of the Honda IGX
engine’s ability to down revs when the
engine is not being put under load, our
Smartdrive system works using our unique
integration with that sensing system
to disconnect the high pressure pump
entirely when the trigger is released. That
means the pump simply can’t run dry.
“When pumps are left running for as
little as two minutes plus, water in the
head of the pump quickly reaches 60c
and keeps on climbing to the point where
seals fail,” John said.
“Because the Smartdrive system
disconnects the pump when the trigger
is released, heat from the engine ceases
to flow to the pump and it cools during
the time it is not pumping, reducing heat
wear and tear.
“Our Smartdrive system avoids running
a pump dry and the gradual heat induced

wear and tear that occurs when the pump
is left running even for short periods with
no flow from the gun.”
Another new development is the boiler
ignition system incorporated in the new
model. Available as an option, the Honda
petrol powered pump can offer the extra
benefits of hot, (100c at the gun) or cold
pressure washing. Designed to meet
mining industry safety requirements, and
incorporating the new Honda IGX series
engine, the system enables a 12V DC
charging supply to generate 20,000V to
fire up the diesel fired boiler ignition.
