Queensland-based ThoroughClean pressure cleaners and washers
supplier, has identified the industry need for an easy way to provide
training for rental customers who rent pressure cleaners.
The Australian Standard requires commercial and industrial users
be trained before they use a pressure cleaner in Class A and Class B
as defined by AS4233:1.
According to ThoroughClean General Manager, Harold Muller,
most pressure cleaners in the rental market fall into Class A.
“Until now, the only training available was class room training,
which is impractical for the casual rental user,” Harold said.
Harold said he and ThoroughClean take pride in providing a web
based training system, which operators can access and complete
their training for any ‘Class A’ Pressure Cleaner.
“Our duty of care is just to inform our clients training is required.
The ThoroughClean difference is we provide training with our
products to ensure our clients are not only industry compliant, but
they can get the most our washers have to offer,” Harold said.
ThoroughClean will make this system available for free to HRIA
members.
“The training is very easy,” Harold said.
“When renting out a pressure cleaner, the HRIA member issues
a training coupon with the equipment. The operator can then
complete the on-line training session in their own time, via any web
connected device (computer, smartphone, tablet etc), and it only
takes 5-10 minutes. A Certificate of Attainment will be automatically
emailed to the user.
“Currently the certificate is valid for six months, but the Standards
are currently under review and the updated version will extend
this to two years. This training system is designed for the rental
market. Full time wash bay operators and Class B machine operators
(typically more than 5000PSI, 16LPM), should still complete the full
class room training session.
“After being involved in the rental and pressure cleaner industry
for nearly 30 years, this is a great way to serve our industry; by
making our expertise available to end users,” Harold said.
ThoroughClean also provide on-site training for ultra-high
pressure users.
