“Case Victoria will install
individually numbered DataDot
series on new machines, register
the security numbers with the
DataDot database and identify
each machine with Warning
Decals ‘free of charge’ as part of
our customer service package,”
Mark Lindner, Case Victoria
Dealer Principal said.
“From November 2011, each
machine will be identified with
thousands of microscopic disks
containing unique information
linked to the machine and the
owner. As small as a grain of
sand, DataDots are recognised
as one of the most effective
ways of preventing theft,
and play a crucial role in the
recovery and return of stolen
machinery.”

detected under UV light. They
contain unique codes on each

a secure database accessible by
Police if a machine is stolen.
The identifier on each disc

to source the machine owner
details, aiding in recovery.
“It’s virtually impossible
to locate and remove all the
DataDots fitted to a machine,
making it extremely difficult
for thieves to sell the machine
without the fear of being
caught,” Mark said.
“By using DataDotDNA
technology, Case Victoria aims
to provide customers with:
• Peace of Mind - as ownership
is easily traceable through a
secure national database.
• Proof of Ownership - through
the unique code on each
DataDot series fitted to
individual machines.
• Awareness - Crime Stoppers
Australia and the police
have acknowledged the
effectiveness of DataDot
technology in theft
prevention.
“Each DataDot is only 1mm
in size, with the unique code
etched on each dot, like a
fingerprint for each machine.
“At Case Victoria we’re
partnering with DataDot
Technology to provide our
customers with added security
in the event a machine is
stolen, but more importantly,
providing a visual deterrent
which is proven to minimise the
likelihood of theft,” Mark said.
