The recently rebranded Staging Rentals
& Construction (SRC) has celebrated its
25th year in business as a supplier of
event equipment and construction to the
events industry.
David Comer, Managing Director of SRC,
who has been with SRC for 17 years said
this milestone is an opportune chance
to take stock of the company’s past and
focus on ensuring the company’s viability
and continuing success for the future.
Meri Took, Founder of SRC, said: “The
team doesn’t spend much time focusing
on what has been; they spend effort
working out how they can do things
better, what new products they can offer
and how to make customer events more
memorable,” Meri said.
Off the back of its build of Nefertiti’s head
for Aida, SRC has been appointed as the
set builders of the 2016 season of Handa
Opera on Sydney Harbour.

The Tent-Expo displays one of the largest
and diverse ranges of clear span structure
tent systems available from a single
manufacturing source.
The show focuses on the best Röder HTS
Höcker has to offer from the smallest
to the most sophisticated temporary
structures. Visitors can view the products
and enjoy complimentary hospitality,
and also visit the HTS ‘partner’ exhibitor
area. This area is set aside for the display
of events industry related products
and services including event furniture,
decorative linings, heating and air
conditioning, event planning software,
cover cleaning machines and more.
Roger Makin and Jeff Stevens attended
the show representing HTS Australia,
a wholly owned subsidiary of Röder
HTS Höcker. Other Australian attendees
included Steve Palmer and Jayden Scott
from Territory Events Hire in Darwin, Ben
Blakiston fromWiddeson’s Hire in Perth,
Milton and Duncan Jaeger from Jaeger’s
Event Hire in Wagga Wagga and Rick

HTS Australia and visitors from a number of Australian event hire companies attended
the annual Röder HTS Höcker Tent-Expo in Wachtersbach, Germany (held in November
last year).

The Australian visitors
were well looked after
with airport transfers,
accommodation, factory
tours and a visit to a
large rental company in
Germany.
The Tent-Expo ran for
four days with the BMW
hospitality two storey
structure the main feature.
It is the actual structure
used by the BMW racing
team throughout Europe
and was last year used as
the base for registrations,
entertainment and meals.
