The event was a way for the entire
Kennards Hire team to say thanks and
reward suppliers for the hard work
and commitment they have shown
throughout the year.
A total of 130 suppliers were in
attendance, as well as key members
of the Kennards Hire family including;
Angus Kennard, Rory Kennard, Cam
Kennard and Andy Kennard.
Over the course of the night, Bronze,
Silver and Gold Awards were presented
to the highest rated suppliers based on
a survey completed by Kennards Hire
Staff from over 150 branches across
Australia and New Zealand. There were
six different categories of awards, four of
which align with Kennards Hire’s core
values: Fair Dinkum, Every Customer
A Raving Fan, Taking Hire Higher and
One Family; plus Customer Service and
Supplier of the Year.
Although there were many winners on
the night, two suppliers stood out above
the rest. Trade Tool and equipment
company, Hilti won five awards on the
night, including the Supplier of The Year.
N&D Mechanical also took out three
awards, including the Gold Medal in the
‘Every Customer a Raving Fan’ category.

In late November, Kennards Hire held its 2015 Supplier Award Night at the Kennards Hire
Artarmon, NSW branch which was turned into a fine dining restaurant for the occasion.

ACE EXPO, held at the Melbourne
Showgrounds 12-14 November 2015 is
one of the largest construction industry
events in Australia.
Luke Kasprzak, Portfolio Director –
Industrial Division, Exhibition and Trade
Fairs (ETF) said six main factors drove
this success.
“These were: the energy of ground-
breaking ideas; the excitement of
unearthing capabilities with new
equipment; the efficiency of seeing
practically every construction solution
out there in one trip; the engagement
of talking shop with peers and problem

solving and building relationships
with suppliers; and being able to hold
onto a competitive edge advantage by
staying on top of the latest trends before
competitors see them.”
Winners of the CMEIG Industry Awards
were announced too. The winner of
the best stand over 36sqm was Boss
Attachments, while best stand under
35sqm was Hard Metals Australia.
The industry’s top apprentices were also
recognised: for first year, Michael Brazell;
second year, Mitchell Loring; third year,
Dean Channell; and fourth year, Tristan
