Steve joins Power Equipment following
a lifetime of technical and management
experience in the engine industry. He
commenced his career at a large engine
reconditioning business where he rose
through the ranks. Steve went on to work
in the diesel parts sector, supplying parts
for European and Japanese trucks and
buses. Prior to joining Power Equipment,
Steve was in a sales manager’s role
supplying small diesel engines to trade.

Power Equipment has appointed industry veteran Steve
Harvey to Power Products Area Manager – Vic/Tas/SA.
Kennards Hire’s first branch in WA
which opened in 2000 in Cannington,
has undergone a major refurbishment.

WA, Tony Symons said since the end
of the mining boom,WA has seen a
downturn in the economy but the key
to maintaining growth during difficult
times is to invest in people and assets.
“There’s a lot of talk in WA about how
tough the job market has been of late,”
Tony said. “Because Kennards Hire is
constantly growing as a business, we
have more and more positions opening
up. Our hiring philosophy is if we have
great people applying, we will find a job
for them.”

Constable Care Child Safety Foundation

Kennards Hire has donated an additional $75,000 to KidsXpress Life
An incursion of fire ants was detected
near Brisbane Airport. It’s suspected
the fire ants arrived in freight sometime
in the past two years and thanks to a
vigilant report to Biosecurity Queensland
in September last year, it is thought they
haven’t had time to spread far.
A new emergency response is underway
to contain and eradicate the fire ants.
