in this year’s Global Rental Alliance Exchange Program during October.

awareness of the equipment rental

industry. It allows young rental

professionals the opportunity to live

in another country for a few weeks to

learn more about the rental industry

internationally. The ARA Foundation

facilitates the leadership program on

behalf of the GRA.

The program develops industry leaders of

tomorrow by providing personal growth

experiences, leadership development

opportunity and a broadened view/

understanding of the hire industry

with insight into international business

practices.

All international leadership program

The cost of renovating a home in

Victoria has surged by 6.5% compared

to last year and rose by nearly twice

the national average, according to the

Renovation Consumer Price Index

(RCPI) quarterly report released by

ServiceSeeking.com.au

created an

interactive map that plots price changes

across 10 popular renovation services in

Victoria year on year which shows the

cost of hiring an electrician in Victoria

rose by 11.7% year on year, tiling and

paving services increased 8.9% and

plumbing rose 7.7% to become the most

expensive renovation trade in the state.

There was some relief though with

flooring and landscaping prices

decreasing by 12.7% and 4.9%.

It will be interesting to see if the hire

industry will see an increase in rental

rates as home handymen and DIY

renovators pick up the slack.
