Powerlite is celebrating 50 years of
manufacturing generators in Australia and
believes it is Australia’s oldest surviving
power generation manufacturer still
operating in its own right.
“Powerlite has witnessed our great
country moving from complete Australian
manufacturing to a distribution focus;
which can only be described as a
tragedy for the engineers, tradesmen
and professionals that once graced

manufacturing alternators in the 80s, then

the sole Australian distributor for Pike
Signals, the UK based manufacturer
of the ‘Robo Sign’. This compact, easy
to transport remote controlled STOP/
SLOW traffic control system can allow
a single operator to control the flow of
traffic at both ends of a work area from
a safe vantage point. The remote control
eliminates the need for cable links.
