Coates Hire has opened a new purpose
built facility in Karratha primarily
dedicated to the local construction, mining,
oil and gas sector in the Pilbara and with a
dedicated service team.
Fitters, mechanics, electricians, sales,
administration, service staff and operations
teams all form a part of the Karratha team.
With a reinvigorated fleet, including
smaller equipment such as mini-
excavators, kangas, trailers, wet-saws,
brick saws, and small plate compactors,
the branch has over 10,000 pieces of
equipment, worth over $20 million and
also caters for larger jobs through a range
of earthmoving gear, lighting towers,
generators, pumps, access equipment,
excavators, water carts, loaders and other
specialist equipment.
According to Coates Hire Area Manager
(Pilbara South), Ben Hunter: “The superb
new facility in Karratha can handle just
about any equipment request from our
broad customer base.

Western Australian mining and transport
vehicle hire specialist, Raw Hire, has
added to its management team with two
new appointments.
Thai Pham takes on the new position of
General Manager of Operations, fresh
from a stint as Acting CEO of Telethon
Speech & Hearing Centre for Children.
His previous experience includes senior
roles at Blue Travel and Thrifty Car Rental,
as well as some years in the American
market with Enterprise Rent-A-Car in
Houston.
Raw Hire adds to its management team
The new Regional Business Development
Manager for WA is John Martinovich, who
has a long history in mining and mining
services at Metso and Imdex, and was
most recently with Aurizon as Business
Development Manager in WA.
Raw Hire CEO, Byron Smith, welcomed the
new recruits.
“Thai and John are valuable additions to
the Raw Hire management team and I
am pleased to welcome them on board,”
Byron said. “They both have an important
role to play as part of the Raw Hire team

facility at Lot 2 Exploration Drive, Karratha
took place on Thursday June 26th.

Adelaide at the newly refurbished
and extended Convention Centre

Adelaide in 2007.
