Powerful enough to provide safe working

illumination for an area the size of a

tennis court, the Allmand Maxi Lite 8V

has a combined light output of more than

600,000 Lumens.

Richard Sweet, Marketing Manager,

Portable Products, with CAPS Australia said:

“The value-for-money Maxi-Lite 8V has a

telescoping light tower with four Super

High Output 1250-Watt metal halide lamps

on an adjustable head.

“The six-section, hydraulically actuated

automatic lift mechanism elevates the

lamp head to almost 8m above the ground.

Intuitive adjustment of the lamp head

allows accurate positioning of the lights

before extending the tower. A unique

feature of the Maxi-Lite is the tower can be

raised to its full height in 25 seconds.

“While the sectional tower is a typical

design, the Maxi-Lite incorporates nylon

guide sleeves which give smooth operation

and help stabilise the tower when

Silvan Australia has added a new 50 litre

capacity Diesel Transfer Unit to its range of

integrated diesel tank and supply systems

which range up to 2,200 litres.

Using a compact 50 litre capacity Polytuff

tank which is UV stabilised and impact

resistant the new Selecta Diesel Transfer

Unit offers a diesel fuel resource with a 12

volt self-priming pump and a manual shut

off gun with 4m of delivery hose.

Silvan Australia’s spokesman, Greg

wind gusts of up to 100kph. The units are

built in the US but incorporate switches and

circuit breakers that comply with Australian

regulations and standards.

“The unit features a heavy duty “A”

frame drawbar and 15-inch wheels on a

single axle with leaf-spring suspension. The

design and construction allow the unit to

be towed on unsurfaced roads. The canopy

is made from heavy gauge sheet metal to

has built-in environmental containment

facilities for the fuel tank and engine in the

event of any machine liquid spillage.”

Powered by a Caterpillar Model C1-1

diesel motor driving a 7.5kW generator,

the fuel-efficient engine can run for up to

100 hours. The housing of the Maxi-Lite

trailer-based units are insulated and the

unit silenced to 64dB.

Emergency or top up fuel source

The new Silvan Selecta 50 litre Diesel Transfer Unit

is compact and ideal as a top up or emergency

fuel delivery unit

connect the pump to battery power supply.

The Polytuff tank also has calibrated, easy

to read, fill marks, a suction screen internal

filter and has preformed tie down points.

The 12 volt delivery pump can be run dry

without damage and achieves a 14 litres per

minute open flow with an on-off switch.

“Our view is the Selecta Diesel Transfer

Unit provides enough fuel to get a diesel

engine running again until a full fuel supply

delivery can be organised,” Mr Everett said.
