EQUIPMENT SHOWCASE
Using a rig mounted Atlas Copco bucket
crusher, inert demolition material can be
crushed and re-used on site, requiring less
mechanical equipment, less transportation
and dumpsite cost and only one operator to
handle the demolition attachment as well
as the bucket crusher.
According to Atlas Copco, benefits of
employing bucket crushers include cost
savings because of reduced transportation
and dumpsite costs. Crushed material can
be directly re-used on site or sold to third
parties.
Use of traditional crushers can often
be hindered by the size of the machinery.
Bucket crushers which can fit to any
excavator larger than 12 tonnes provide an
alternative.
A wide aperture bucket with large
capacity allows customised output with
output size adjustable from 20-120mm
(BC 1500: 100 mm). The Bucket jaws can
be inverted. Top and bottom jaws can be
exchanged or single jaws rotated by 180
degrees to also use the rear part.

The fifth generation of CA single drum
vibratory rollers, CA5000, CA6000 and
CA6500, from Dynapac are the first of
their type with cross-mounted engines,
optimised amplitude for compaction
performance and Active Bouncing Control
that prevents damage to the machine and
over-compaction.
With greater maneuverability and
reduced noise levels and fuel consumption,
the single drum soil compactors have
static linear loads of 50, 60 and 65kg/cm,
respectively. A high amplitude of 2.1mm
enables rock fill to be compacted in almost
2m thick layers and the rock size can be
up to 1m in diameter. The better depth
effect results in higher volume capacity
and less passes to reach compaction
specifications, saving fuel and reducing cost
per compacted cubic meter. Environmental
impact is also lower.
The new CA rollers are available with
Stage IIIB engines (prepared for Stage IV)
from Deutz. They can be used with a mix of
biodiesel and fossil diesel fuel.
