ThoroughClean, manufacturer of heavy

duty water blasters, has launched its first

trailer mounted mine spec diesel driven

hot water pressure cleaner; a cleaning and

degreasing pressure cleaner for draglines

and other applications on mine sites.

Built on a hot dipped galvanised trailer

frame with on-board 1,000litre IBC water

tank, its boiler and pressure pump both

run off the Kohler diesel engine offering

hot water blasting at 15 litres per minute

at up to 3600PSI.

The design features a Hawk triplex

pressure pump, which, with engine,

battery and boiler are vibration-mounted

on a separate sub-frame to prevent

long-term vibration damage and damage

during travelling. The boiler, battery and

control boxes are all double vibration

mounted. The system is also available in

a double axle trailer with 2,000 litre poly

tank and separate detergent tank with

separate hose reel.

Toro’s new TRX tracked trenchers are

designed to allow the machines to handle

cross trenching and work on wet, rainy days

or in sandy, loose soils.

Many wheeled trenchers would struggle

in these conditions whereas the tracks of

the Toro TRX disperse the weight of the

machine, providing high flotation while

delivering traction in any ground condition,

Semco’s Graham Murphy said.

“The key to working faster and straighter

than with other walk- behind trenchers is

the unit’s dedicated track undercarriage.

The track drive design provides a low centre

of gravity and large footprint,” he said.

“The design offers stability and increased

manoeuvrability over rough terrain

without causing damage to existing turf by

eliminating tyre ruts and flat tyres.

“The tracks, unlike wheeled machines,

also prevent the machine from getting

caught in the trench or causing cave-ins of

the sidewalls while cross trenching and the

tracked design, in combination with zero-

turn capabilities, allows TRX trenchers to

easily access confined areas.

“Three simple controls operate all

Walk-behind trenchers right on track

degreasing

traction and trenching functions to provide

less jerking than other trenchers with

handle-bar steering,” he said.

TRX models trench up to 1219mm deep

and 203mm wide. The 19.38kW Kawasaki

twin-cylinder engine provides a flat torque

curve.
