Hamilton branch as an opportunity to
connect with customers and industry.
He identified Hamilton as a hub for
construction and agriculture; a key
motivator in opening a new branch there.
“The opening of the Hamilton branch is
a great opportunity to say thanks to New
Zealand for supporting the growth of
Kennards Hire in NZ since we launched
here a few years ago,” Tom said.
“Our new location in Hamilton is a real
centre for the construction industry, and it

The UK offices will continue to operate
under Syrinx’s staff with Managing
Director Mark Goodrum leading the team
in Reading. Currently, both companies
have offices in Australia that will continue
to serve and support that market.
According to Wayne Harris, Syrinx staff
will continue to provide the support and
customer service under the new name of
Point of Rental Software.
The merger will bring Point of Rental’s
cloud-based software and ERP solution
to the European market alongside
Syrinx, adding more software options
for businesses. While Point of Rental
Expert and Syrinx are both scalable to
small or mid-sized businesses, Point of
Rental Essentials provides cloud-based
mobility for straightforward hire and asset
needs, and Point of Rental Elite provides
customised ERP software.

US-based Point of Rental has merged with Syrinx (by Higher Concept Software) UK hire
software development company, to bring the award-winning Syrinx hire management
program to Point of Rental’s software products.

Four kilometres from central Sydney, the
new Centre will expand the company’s
Australian retail network and also acts as
a central hub for Hilti’s city customers.
The Centre is characterised by a series
of mobile tablets which replace the more
traditional, fixed-service counters.
The use of the tablets means store
representatives can go to where the
customer is in store, an innovation that
frees floor space.
The Centre was officially opened by Ginta
Barham, Hilti Centre Manager; Toby
Flagship Hilti Centre launched at Alexandria with celebration
Hilti hosted an opening celebration for its new flagship store at Alexandria, NSW which
features a hands-on, interactive experience, the first of its type in Sydney that follows
on from similar stores in Perth and Melbourne.

A highlight of the event was the live
demos, where Hilti staff demonstrated

tools was launched at the opening and
customers participated in the 12 volt
cordless drilling competition.
