BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
Today,Warwick’s business GreenCorp has 26 full time
employees and counts Gold Coast City Council as one of its
largest clients. Warwick said finding customers was easier
than getting the finance he needed to get the business off the
ground.
“I’ve been working in landscaping on the Gold Coast for more
than 18 years so when my contacts heard I was branching out
on my own, the work offers came in thick and fast. I needed to
source and finance landscaping gear quickly to capitalise on
those opportunities,” he said.
“Being a brand new business it was difficult to get a traditional
business loan, even though I was confident in my ability to
make the business profitable and I knew I had the work in the
pipeline to support it.”
Warwick consulted a finance broker and discussed a variety
of finance options before deciding to use GoGetta Equipment
Finance’s Rent.Grow.Own option, which allows business
operators to rent equipment for 12 months before deciding
whether to buy it outright.
“Renting the equipment meant I could get to work straight
away. Plus, the equipment appeared as a business expense on
my balance sheet, which made a world of difference come tax
time,”Warwick said. “To also have the option to purchase the
gear at the end of the year gave me a sense of security.”
Warwick’s first piece of equipment for his new business was a
two tonne tipper truck and soon after he added a skid steer.
“Getting the funding to purchase the gear was quick and
easy,” he said. “I’m proud of what GreenCorp Landscaping
has become and GoGetta was the kick start to making it all
happen,”Warwick said.
