Anew angledbladeoption for the Takeuchi TB285 excavator is
slashing the time taken tobackfill trenches. Available as anoptional
extra, the angledblade saves time and resources by enablingan
operator todiga trenchandquickly backfill it in a singlepass,
drivingalongside
the trench rather
thangoingback
and forth to fill it
front on.
Built into the
TB285’s blade
system is a float
function that
allows theblade
tomoveup and
down according to
the contours of the
earth, following
the contour of the
ground. This also
helps the angledblade ‘level off’more efficientlywhenworkingon
undulating earth.
Takeuchi productmanager, StuartMarriott said: “At 8,400kgs the
new TB285 is heavier andmoreproductive than the TB175which it
replaces andabigger cabin toROPS and FOPS (II) specificationadds
tooperator comfort. Also anewhydraulic system, dial-inauxiliary
output control withhigh flowoutput to100 litres perminute and a
secondport delivers up to 55 litres perminute.
“Machineoperatorswill immediately notice the 13% increase
in tractiveeffort, slew torquewhich ismore than 19%more than
earliermodels and12%morebucket diggingpower.
“Other new standard features of the TB285model includean
accumulator for safe loweringof theboomwith adeadengine,
climate controlled air conditioning, auto enginedecelerator and
return tohigh-idleand its auto track tensioning system,” Stuart said.
