Aggreko, global supplier
of temporary power and
temperature control, has
appointed George Whyte,
Managing Director, Aggreko
Australia-Pacific, taking charge
of the company’s Australian,
New Zealand and Pacific Islands
operations.
The announcement follows
the appointment of Asterios
Satrazemis, the region’s former
Managing Director, to the
position of Regional Director,
Aggreko Americas, responsible
for operations in North, Central
and South America.
George Whyte, originally from
Scotland, has worked with Aggreko
in Australia for 13 years in a range
of capacities, from sales consultant
through to his most recent posting
In our February issue we ran a story
about Oldfields Advance Scaffold,
discussing its relocation to China.
Oldfields would like to clarify its
manufacturing facility relocated
from Australia to China in 2007 -
2008
and the company has been
manufacturing there since. Our
headline ‘Oldfields relocates manufacturing to
China’ may have been misleading, indicating
perhaps a more recent relocation, and we
unreservedly apologise for any confusion
this may have caused our readers, Oldfields

Recently, Coates Hire
officially handed over
the major prize from its
‘
Win a Trailer Full of Tools’
competition to Kevin Haines
from Perth, WA.
Kevin hired a Skid Steer
Loader from Coates Hire’s
Midland Branch to use at his
own property. When he first
received the winning phone
call his initial response was:
‘
is this a prank call?’
Kevin met with Marcus
Geisler, Executive General
Manager, West, Jeff Butler,
Sales and Marketing Manager
West, Craig Lomax the
Midland Branch Manager as well as
members of the Coates Hire team
at the Coates Hire Head Office in
Belmont in March for the Prize
handover.
Kevin was ecstatic with his win
which couldn’t have come at a better time
since he is working on building his own home.
Kevin’s trailer and tools package is valued at
over $22,000 with tools and prizes from Hilti,
Stihl, Beaver, Crommelins and more.
