Kennards Hire has invested
heavily in new equipment for
its new network of hire centres
in New Zealand.
Nine outlets in Auckland
were gained through the
acquisition of McEntee Hire
late last year. Many items not
previously available to McEntee
Hire customers are among a
huge amount of equipment
flowing into the hire centres.
New items include aluminium
scaffolding, trestles and planks,
Business management
software company Baseplan
opened its first US office in
February.
Offering scalable,
integrated, module-based
business management systems
with planning, development
and support services, Baseplan
provides integrated Enterprise
Resource Planning solutions
for the hire, rental, fleet
and dealer management
industries.
With solutions tailored to
customer needs, Baseplan
is already servicing major
contracts in the US.
Baseplan CEO Andrew Ferry
said the attraction of selling
into the US market had existed
for many years but had been
tempered by the legal and
logistical setup required for
the US. However, he said the
need to supply services and
licenses for newly acquired US
based contracts had made the
Kennards’ NZ network

drills, trolley-mounted tile
lifters, ground mats, Electric
Eels, man lifts, material lifts
and acrow props. New model
heaters have been ordered to

updated with the arrival of
many new machines.
