Conplant has developed new technologies in-house in direct response to a customer
seeking a solution to a high risk compaction application. The two new technologies
work well together, but can also work independently.
By working closely with the customer to gain a deep understanding of the application
and associated challenges, Conplant solved the immediate problem and offered
solutions to maximise productivity and job quality.
The solution integrated both new and pre-exiting technologies which included:
1. Manned and remote control system (dual use). Rollers in the Ammann range can
now be operated normally (manned) or in remote control with the flick of a switch.
Primarily this is to improve operator safety for high risk applications. This system is now
commercially ready;
2. Edge control system (with automated steering control). This is primarily an automated
steering system that is an early functional prototype phase; and
3. ROPS2 Roll Over Preventative System.
This is a good example of where Conplant delivered a tailored solution to meet and
exceed the customer’s expectations.
