outdoor stand on the amazing Genie
SX-180 boom lift, with its astounding 180
ft reach – you’ll need a helicopter to go
higher!
On display at the indoor stand is the
new Genie GS-69 BE scissor lift series. It
offers exceptional jobsite versatility. The
GS-69 BE is the first rough terrain, high
performance electric scissor lifts with an
on-board integrated generator to charge
the batteries and supply power to the
platform and chassis.
The Genie Z-33/18 articulated boom
lift will also be part of the indoor
display. It is an entirely new compact,
lightweight electric Z-boom lift. It
weighs 3.6 tonne, with a working height
of 12m and horizontal reach of 5.6m,
without compromising the Genie service,
reliability and ruggedness. Designed for
indoors and outdoors, it can be used on
sensitive surfaces if space is restricted.
We will also be displaying the Genie
Z-62/40 boom lift, which increases the
working height from 20.39m (66ft 4in)
to 20.87m (67ft 11in) and has more
horizontal outreach than the previous
model.
Genie is also displaying its secondary
guarding solutions, the Operator
Protective Structure (OPS) and the
Operator Protective Alarm (OPA). The
Genie OPS is an optional device for
installation on articulating or telescopic
boom lifts and provides secondary
protection for operators in the event
of contact with an overhead obstacle in
certain applications. The advantage of
the OPS system is it can be transferred
from one platform to another. The
OPA system is designed to alert ground
personnel when an operator makes
contact with the platform control panel.
The system interrupts boom movement,
sounds an alarm and a light flashes
when excessive pressure is applied to
the sensing bar. The Genie OPA system
can be retrofitted to Genie articulating
or telescopic boom lifts post 2002. It is
available as an aftermarket option.

The new generation of watercooled,
turbocharged - German-made, HATZ diesel
engines is now available in Australia to
complement the existing air-cooled range.
This is a new product to extend the HATZ
range.
Starting with the 4H50TIC watercooled,
common rail 4-cylinder diesel engine. HATZ
is using Bosch common-rail technology
with excellent fuel consumption & external
exhaust gas recirculation. EPA certified to
Tier IV final. (Also available in TIER III for the
Australian market).
The new HATZ 4H50TIC provides a compact,
lightweight & robust design. Setting new
standards in the performance class up to
56kW. This engine will be on display.
