A record number of visitors passed
through the gates of the HRIA national
Convention – the only hire expo in
Australia.
Almost 90 exhibitors showed their
capabilities in two exhibition areas – under
the Big Top and the main alleyway of Luna
Park, Harbourside.
It was the first time since 2001 the
HRIA hosted a Convention in Sydney
and the unique venue presented an

equipment with the beautiful Sydney
harbour and city skyline as backdrop.
An early morning breakfast seminar,
featuring Roger La Salle (innovation
and business building); Paul de Gelder
(
inspirational naval diver shark attack
survivor) and Dan Gregory (leader in
marketing and advertising), kick-started
the two-day event which brought focus to
the huge array of equipment and services
pertinent to the rental market.
Along with industry experts brought
in by exhibitors both national and
international, overseas guests included
delegates Mike Flesher, outgoing
President, American Rental Association
(
Taylor Rental Center), Chris Wraith
from IPAF (International Powered Access
Federation) from the UK, and New Zealand
Hire Industry Association President Tim
Mikklesen.
