Point of Rental moves into Canada
Australian hire industry professional and former HRIA Victoria President, Ben Sinclair, is establishing Point of Rental’s presence in Toronto, Canada. Ben was also a member of the HRIA’s Global Exchange Program.
Ben Sinclair joined the company in 2019 after more than a decade working at his family’s hire business in Australia. He moved to Canada early this year as Head of Operations – Canada, to set up the new office, where new solutions engineer, Irfan Ahmed, is also based.
Establishing the Canadian base is a result of pandemic-related travel issues between the United States and Canada during the past two years. As the unit grows, the team hopes to deepen Point of Rental’s relationship with the country’s hire industry as a whole.
“Our goal over the next six months is to go out and see customers, see how their business is going and how they’re using Point of Rental,” said Ben, pictured, at left, awarding Vansite with Supplier of the Year in 2019.
“As we build the team and bring more people on, we’ll have people they speak to on a regular basis, directly.”
