New XMFG telenadlers

Designed for tough jobsites and ideal for working on uneven terrain Xtreme Manufacturing has released two new B-Class rough terrain telehandlers.

The new Xtreme XR742 has a 7,000lbs (3,175kg) lift capacity, a maximum lift height of 42ft (12.8m) and a forward reach of 26ft 11in (8.2m), while the new Xtreme XR944, which replaces the Xtreme XR842, has a 9,000lbs (4,082kg) lift capacity, a maximum lift height of 44ft (13.4m), and a maximum forward reach of 28ft 10in (8.7m).

A common chassis design also used on the Xtreme XR1055 and XR1147, improves familiarity across the product range and reduces spare parts inventory for fleets.
The new telehandlers feature a three-section boom with long-life boom rollers as standard, and both are electric over hydraulic, with fully automatic transmission. They also share a common control system with the XR619, XR1055 and XR1147.

The XR742 and XR944 have a Cummins 3.8L 74hp high torque Tier 4 Final engine as standard. Plus an optional 120hp engine is available on both models. For uneven terrain, both telehandlers have a ground clearance of 16.5in (419mm) and frame leveling up to 11° left to right, as well as a suspension seat as standard.

The XR742 and XR944 have 360° operator visibility from the cab, intuitive controls that enable the operator to keep one hand on the steering wheel at all times, and a machine-rated boom lift point for safe handling of suspended loads. The telehandlers come in three cab configurations – open; enclosed; or enclosed with heat and air conditioning – and can be customised with a range of carriage, fork tine, tyres and attachment options, including truss booms, pole grapples, buckets, and personnel platforms.

Weighing 27,000lbs (12,245kg)* and 28,700lbs (13,018kg)* respectively, the XR742 and XR944 feature a steel construction, as well as steel hydraulic and fuel tanks, and are backed by Xtreme’s 10-5-2 warranty.

In what has become the smallest model in the Xtreme telehandler family, the company has also introduced the new A-Class compact boom telehandler, the XR619, with a capacity of 6,000lbs (2,721kg) as a replacement for the Xtreme XR5919 compact telehandler.

Delivering a capacity upgrade over the XR5919, this compact A-Class telehandler has a lift capacity of 6,000lbs (2,721kg), a maximum lift height of 19ft (5.79m) and a forward reach of 11ft (3.35m).

It comes with long-life boom rollers as standard, for smooth, chatter-free operation and minimal maintenance, as well as 360° visibility from the cab, intuitive operator controls and a boom lift point. With a choice of three cab configurations – open; enclosed; or enclosed with heat and air conditioning – the XR619 can be ordered with either a fixed or a fork positioning carriage, and customised with individual options including LED work lights, a backup camera, and synthetic oil for cold environments.

Designed to handle rough terrain, the XR619 is powered by a Deutz 2.9L 74hp Tier 4 Final engine. High grip pneumatic 12.00 x 16.5 tyres and a ground clearance of 10.8in (274mm) make easy work of travelling on an uneven jobsite.

With an all steel construction and weighing 10,300lbs (4,672kg)*, the Xtreme XR619 delivers a long working life and low total ownership costs. A new cast adapter helps to reduce overall weight, while enabling the increase in lift capacity to 6,000lbs (2,721kg), and new fiberglass engine covers provide improved fit and finish and better accessibility for servicing.

For increased familiarity with other Xtreme models, the XR619 shares the same control system as the XR742, XR944, XR1055 and XR1147.

Ideal for confined jobsites, the XR619 has a turning radius of 11ft (3.35m), and compact stowed dimensions of 71in (1.8m) wide and 6ft 5in (1.9m) high.
