LiuGong Launches Pedestrian Alert System
Martin Sinclair Jan 06
Liugong has launched a solution to address the potential hazards associated with working with EWPs in a confined space in pedestrian areas.
With electric machinery in a noisy space, motion alarms can come from all angles and blend into the background. The Liugong Pedestrian Alert System will lower the risk of collision via a visible red light and talking announcements.
With a visible red projection illuminating outward and mounted sensors around all four sides of the Scissor or Boom Lift, a verbal warning will sound when an object, such as a person, is within the one-meter exclusion zone.
The operator is responsible for avoiding contact, but with nearby workers also aware there is a moving machine next to them, the risk of contact is greatly reduced.
Available for demonstration now; Access Service Australia welcomes the device as part of their EWP fleet offering for customers in Australia.
