Kennards Expands in Southern Highlands with Acquisition of MV Hire

Kennards has expanded its presence in NSW’s Southern Highlands through the acquisition of MV Hire in Moss Vale.

This new branch marks Kennards Hire’s 63rd location in the state, underscoring the company’s commitment to delivering exceptional service and building strong community partnerships throughout the region.

Founded by Roy Reynolds in August 2000, MV Hire has earned a strong reputation over the past two decades. The new branch will enable Kennards Hire to build upon its operational network to better support DIY and construction projects in the region with an expanded range of high-quality equipment, reinforcing Kennards Hire’s position as a trusted industry leader with robust local support.

James Hillsdon, the newly appointed Branch Manager at Moss Vale and former assistant manager at Kennards Hire’s Mittagong branch, commented: “We were fortunate enough to retain employees from MV Hire which will ensure that customers continue to enjoy the same friendly, reliable service they know and trust. Having experienced people on board helps us maintain the local knowledge that has been key to the branch’s success, maintaining stability and expertise within the team and the community.”
The acquisition also paves the way for growth, including plans to expand the branch’s fleet with scaffolding, test and measure equipment, key concrete grinding products, and an extended core never ever run out product line.

As with all Kennards Hire acquisitions, memorabilia is sent to the Kennards Hire Museum in Artarmon and from MV Hire, a large walk behind concrete saw has been donated.
