Dingli Launches Biodiesel Aerial Work Platforms

Dingli recently launched a new series of biodiesel aerial work platforms with upgraded Kubota engines that can run on biodiesel. As a typical “green energy,” biodiesel has the characteristics of good environmental performance with good engine starting performance and fuel performance using a renewable source of raw materials.

The main indicators of biodiesel are the same as those of diesel refined from petroleum. It refers to fatty acid methyl esters or ethyl esters formed by ester conversion of vegetable oils (such as rapeseed oil, soybean oil, peanut oil, corn oil, cottonseed oil, etc.), animal oils (such as fish oil, lard, beef tallow, mutton fat, etc.), waste oils or microbial oils with methanol or ethanol. As it comes from biomass resources so it is referred to as a biodiesel.

Biodiesel has a higher cetane number and better ignition performance than petroleum diesel; biodiesel has a high oxygen content and burns more fully. The kinematic viscosity of biodiesel is higher than that of petroleum diesel, which can reduce wear on parts.

The fuel type has a strong climate adaptability and wide range of applications, offering users favourable environmental performance, versatility, and high safety performance.

The EU and the US are the world’s largest producers and consumers of biodiesel, and the market is in short supply. As a renewable clean energy source, biodiesel can be produced from waste cooking oil, acidified oil, mixed fatty acids, and waste animal and vegetable oils.

Dingli’s 16 -24 meter booms can all use biodiesel, as do the 12-18 meter small rough-terrain scissors. Some exiting diesel-powered aerial work platforms will be completely replaced by “renewable biodiesel”.

Dingli plans to promote the research and development of biodiesel aerial work platforms to launch more “environmentally friendly” equipment in the future to facilitate the green and sustainable development around the world.
