Coates turns its hand to delivering smart, innovative and seamless temporary air, power, climate and process cooling solutions to customers in response demand for Power & HVAC services across multiple sectors.

Coates has expanded its product offering by introducing Coates Power & HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning). In response to customer demand, the company will now be able to supply smart, innovative, and seamless temporary air, power, climate, and process cooling solutions to businesses across Australia.

Coates Power & HVAC expands on the company’s existing competencies by offering turnkey solutions for power, compressed air, climate control, and process cooling, as well as a comprehensive range of custom-built equipment and end-to-end service and support. Coates Power & HVAC will assist an organisation in maintaining its operations, from interim systems and short-term bridging solutions to long-term initiatives. Ideal for usage in industrial, engineering, mining, oil & gas, and manufacturing industries, the firm anticipates strong demand in remote areas throughout Australia where its branch network and teams of plant maintenance personnel can give local assistance to Power & HVAC systems.

The first Coates Power & HVAC hubs will open in Sydney’s Ingleburn, Melbourne’s Dandenong, Adelaide’s Albert Park, Brisbane’s Kingston, and Perth’s Belmont. Together with other regional branches, these hubs will provide consumers with a complete end-to-end solution for their electricity and HVAC needs, including:

The company has already received significant interest from new and existing customers across Australia, with the solutions being used (or planned to be utilised) for projects ranging from wind farms to motorways and tunnels, as well as manufacturing plants, ports, and loaders.

For existing customers, Coates is already supplying specialist equipment and expertise which makes it much easier to partner with Coates for additional project requirements, according to Kurt Edwards, Coates Power & HVAC Manager.

Sectors like manufacturing, meanwhile, are generally less reliant on hire, but like many industries, they may suffer from equipment breakdowns, making access to standby equipment essential, according to Edwards.

“Critical equipment breakdown is a showstopper, so limiting the impact of fixed plant failure and building more robust response or preventative systems are key,” he said. “Coates Power & HVAC can mobilise quickly to address critical plant failure or work with customers to incorporate standby hire equipment into their contingency planning.”
