EQUIPMENT GUIDE TO 2019 Mobile lighting tower goes 3 in a ute Powerlite has launched its new area lighting solution, the K45 360° LED Mobile Lighting Tower featuring easy push button deployment which takes less than three minutes. I ts compact design makes the unit transportable in an SUV or ute (up to three units) with an illumination performance of over 3500m² at 20 Lux average. Darren Boughton, Sales Director for Powerlite said “Once the push button is pressed the electro- pneumatic mast extends to 4.5m.” “The compact design optimises handling while also minimising space claim for storage and transport. Electric safety interlocks prevents raising of the mast until all four stability legs are correctly deployed. The stability safety monitoring system automatically lowers the mast should the unit become unstable, for example due to high winds or heavy rain causing soft ground. “In rough terrain applications, or where protection of the ground surface is critical, the optional rough terrain/low ground pressure wheel kit allows the K65 lighting towers to be moved by one person,” Darren said. “The flexible light head enables the user to optimally control the light output for different tasks ranging from full 360° area lighting to high power directional lighting. This enables flexible positioning of the lighting towers to illuminate from the centre of a worksite, enabling the light to be directed where you need it most and avoid ‘wasting light’ and energy.” The new tower features High Performance 600w Optimum illumination with up to 85,000 lumens and an illumination area of up to 3551m² at an average of 20 lux. n Contact: 02 9912 5000 or visit: www.powerlite.com.au New water cooled engine ideal for hire Launched last year to mark Hatz Diesel‘s 35th anniversary, its new 3H50 water-cooled engine is ideal for powering hire equipment and suitable for use across a range of industrial applications from welders to generators, compactors and construction equipment. By fitting into that class the new machines can now be rented for operators to use, without the need for RTO certification, Aussie Pumps Chief Engineer John Hales said. “This provides contractors and cleaning professionals with access to efficient, powerful machines that facilitate faster cleaning, rust removal and paint stripping,” John said. “Aussie’s Predator A comes in a heavy duty galvanised steel frame with 23hp Kohler air cooled diesel engine drive. The machine is driven through a gearbox with a big Bertolini triplex pump operating at 1450rpm. “The new compliant, super heavy duty machine can also be operated with an Aussie Turbomaster turbo lance delivering an effective working pressure of 8,500psi (580bar). “The Aussie Mine Boss range includes a line of heavy duty diesel engine drive pressure cleaners and hydro-blasters from 3,000psi (200bar) to the 500 bar Raptor series. “Mine Boss units all come with integrated E stop, battery isolation, frame mounted fire extinguisher and heavy duty centre mounted lifting bar. The machines come mounted on four steel wheels with pneumatic tyres. “Gaining a Class A certification for a 5,000psi diesel pressure cleaner is a big breakthrough for Australian Pump and the rental industry,” John said. “It’s consistent with our “Safe Operator” philosophy,” he said. Australian Pump also offers a full range of Class A Mine Spec 4,000psi blasters powered by Yanmar diesel engines. n Visit: www.aussiepumps.com.au Sami Almogawish, Managing Director of Hatz Diesel Australia The K45 360° LED Mobile Lighting Tower featuring easy push button deployment The new tower features High Performance 600w Optimum illumination System with up to 85,000 lumens Hatz Diesel’s three and four-cylinder H50 series diesel engines are the world’s smallest in their power range P62 HIRE AND RENTAL NEWS MAY 2019
