ACCESS IN ACTION Micro sized scissor designed for compact manoeuvrability The new Genie GS1330m scissor lift, a micro- sized scissor lift suitable for construction applications in space restricted or congested locations is heavy-duty, rental ready and soon to be available in Australia. W ith a maximum platform height of 3.75m (12ft 4in) and a maximum working height of 5.75m (18ft 4in), the Genie GS-1330m scissor lift has a two- person, 227kg (500lb) capacity and weighs only 885kg (1,951lb). Kurt Kinder, Genie National Sales Manager, Terex AWP Australia said: “Low-level access is a growing segment in the aerial access industry, with increasing pressure to replace ladders with safe, productive alternatives including applications beyond the typical job site, such as industrial and institutional facilities. “Additionally, the growing need for productive solutions in low-floor loading applications is driving innovation in lightweight product segments. The new Genie GS-1330m scissor lift is designed to meet the needs of our customers in the ever-changing mobile elevated work platform market.” Featuring an efficient, all- electric DC drive system, with a quiet, zero-emissions operation, the Genie GS-1330m scissor lift has industry-leading runtime ensuring full-day productivity,” Kurt said. Operators can drive the new scissor lift at full height and in the stowed position, and it can climb up to 25% graded slopes. “Since the Genie GS-1330m scissor lift weighs less than 907kg (2,000lb), it can access job sites previously off-limits to heavier slab scissors and vertical mast lifts,” Kurt said. “The Genie GS-1330m scissor lift is also equipped with platform load sense, which will help operators understand when they have overloaded the platform.” Additionally, the Genie GS- 1330m scissor lift incorporates the Genie Smart Link control system, offering a familiar interface, as well as fully proportional lift and drive control for precise positioning in the work environment. “The Genie Smart Link control system simplifies troubleshooting with onboard, easy-to-read and user- friendly machine adjustments and diagnostics, and it is compatible with the Genie Tech Pro Link hand-held diagnostic tool,” Kurt said. Other features include side- by-side platform guard rails for easy deck extension and retraction, diamond plate platform flooring, which provides a durable, long-life gripping surface; and with the link stack centred under the platform, the operator has a stable feel and optimal comfort while working at height. “The new Genie GS-1330m scissor lift shares significant commonality with the Genie GS scissor lift family, including design features that enhance serviceability. For example, swing-out service trays allow for unobstructed access to all machine components, including the hydraulic and electrical systems, simplifying service and maintenance and ensuring machines can get back on rent, faster,” Kurt said. The new scissor lift will be on display at HIRE19 in Melbourne. n Visit: www.genielift.com.au Genie GS-1330m scissor lift at work in an art gallery Full-sized telehandler performance at right- sized price and high ROIC The new Genie GTH-3007 compact telehandler combines the full capacity of a 6.89m (22ft 7in) machine with the cost efficiencies that only a 74hp (55kW) Stage IIIA engine can provide, offering on-site productivity and cost efficiency for a high rental return on invested capital (ROIC), Kurt Kinder, Genie National Sales Manager, Terex AWP Australia said. A s the heavier-lifting, higher-reaching brother of the Genie GTH-2506 compact telehandler, at the low weight of 6,060kg (13,360lb), the new Genie GTH- 3007 telehandler shares the same rugged durability common to all other models of the Genie GTH telehandler family. Boasting a maximum lift capacity of 3,000kg (6,614lb), a lift capacity of 2,500kg (5,511lb) at a maximum height of 6.89m (22ft 7in), and a lift capacity of 800kg (1,764lb) at maximum reach of 3.86m (12ft 8in), this new unit also offers the benefits of a low-emissions 74hp (55 kW) Deutz Stage IIIA compliant engine to provide operators productive capacity and rapid rental returns on investment. “Servicing is also notably faster and easier than units with higher horsepower engines, which enhances rental availability and boosts profitability,” Kurt said. Features include a 2.55m (8ft 4in) inside turning radius and high 43cm (17in) ground clearance; machine length at attachment frame of 4.66m (15ft 3in), a machine width of 1.99m (6ft 6in) and a machine height of 2.30m (7ft 7in), making the Genie GTH-3007 unit the perfect match for jobs on busy and congested sites in confined or difficult to access spaces. The Load Management System (LMS) is more sophisticated and has been integrated into the control system. “It provides the operator with more information via a dynamic load chart, which is presented on a 17.8cm (7in) colour display,” Kurt said. The LMS also includes a reversing camera, optional forward/ side camera and optional operator access controls that can be set up to restrict the attachments each operator can select. The LMS can be configured for full operator access or restricted access via a 4-digit PIN code or a unique electronic key. The Genie GTH-3007 telehandler includes a rugged chassis, a two-stage boom with no chains or cables, durable steel front mudguards and Dana axles with dual brakes, full-time planetary four-wheel drive and four-wheel steer. Equipped with a variable speed hydrostatic transmission for a smooth powerful drive, this unit features a side-mounted engine cover with a comfortable opening angle for easy filter replacement, access to engine components and hydraulic test ports located at the front of the chassis. For attachment flexibility, the Genie GTH-3007 telehandler comes standard with an auxiliary hydraulics Quick Attach carriage, a feature the model shares with the Genie GTH-2506 compact telehandler. n Visit: www.genielift.com.au The new Genie GTH-3007 compact telehandler offers on-site productivity P34 ACCESS IN ACTION MAY 2019
