EVENTS IN FOCUS Supplying comms to the Invictus Games Down Under Helping to ensure the Invictus Games Sydney 2018 were a success, Sydney’s The PA People supplied comms systems for nine different venues for the Invictus Games including Cycling, Sailing, Archery and several other disciplines. V enues included: Sydney Harbour off the point at Mrs Macquarie’s Chair, Royal Botanic Gardens precinct, and various venues at Olympic Park – NSW Tennis Centre, Genea Netball Centre, Quay Centre, Athletics and Aquatic Centres. Comms systems included: UHF Duplex Repeaters, Motorola UHF Radios, Clear- Com matrix frame interfacing between radio systems and cabled communications, desktop and belt pack personal communications options for the Sports Presentation teams working each venue. More than 500 veterans from a record 18 participating allied nations and their families came together in a spectacular closing ceremony at Qudos Bank Arena for medals presentation. The Invictus Games Sydney 2018 concluded on 27 October and The Duke of Sussex and Founder of the Games, Prince Harry, praised the Games as being ‘truly magnificent’.
