Attach2 Equipment take on excavator attachments market New Zealand based Attach2 Equipment has purchased the intellectual property and full ownership of the Sure-Grip, Heli-Tilt and Ram-Tilt Couplers excavator attachments following Calibre Contracting Equipment’s decision to cease serving the excavator attachments market. Attach2 has employed the core Calibre Equipment (previously JB Attachments) team based in Brisbane and has also purchased the remaining stock and parts in for these couplers in NZ. Attach2 will continue to give ongoing parts and backup support to anyone requiring support and current owners of the Sure-Grip, Heli-Tilt and Ram- Tilt couplers. Interested parties can now contact the Attach2 team to enquire on the availability of these couplers. “While we are setting up the supply chain for these products we realise there will be some delays in availability as we transfer manufacturing and build up stock, however we also will have the A2Lock couplers available from NZ as an additional Quick-Hitch option that also meets Australian and ISO standards on safety,” Jacob Hart, Head of Marketing at Attach2 said. “We are in the process of setting up a base in Brisbane Australia to ensure we have stock and parts on the ground both in NZ and Australia. “Since Attach2 is a separate entity to Calibre Equipment and do not own the warranty, Attach2 unfortunately cannot honour the warranty on any Sure-Grip, Heli-Tilt or Ram-Tilt couplers previously purchased from Calibre Equipment. However, our aim is to continue supporting the product line and get you up and running as soon as possible, give us a call and we will assist you,” Jacob said. “At the end of the day our goal is to ‘Make it Easy’.” “In New Zealand we will continue to sell and support our Attach2 range of Attachments and Couplers as normal, as well adding the range of Sure-Grip, Heli-Tilt and Ram-Tilt range of Couplers to our range to produce, sell and support. “We thank Calibre Contracting for the years of great competition in the market and we look forward to helping contractors and excavator dealers with the supply and support of the Sure-Grip and Heli-Tilt Couplers around the globe.” n Contact: 1800 095 689 and visit: www.attach2.com Latest evolution of compact wheel loaders in Australia Significant new updates have been added to the latest evolution of the JCB 403 compact loader according to JCB Construction Equipment Australia (JCB CEA) Product Manager, Deon Cope. “The powertrain has been updated to include a 26kw Kubota water cooled engine,” Deon said. The new engine is mated to two speed hydrostatic transmission with mechanical final drives to ZF axles. “This has significantly increased the 403 pushing power and rim pull performance,” Deon said. “JCB CEA has also optioned manual diff locks for the Australian specification to ensure the increased power of the driveline can be utilised in poor ground conditions improving productivity and expanding use in rental applications.” Standard features also include ROPS / FOPS canopy, larger / wider optioned tyres. “The wider tyre increases stability, traction and lower ground pressure, plus the loader now has an hydraulic quick hitch with the third spool for operating a range of attachments.” The compact loader design also improves safety with side entry. Articulated steering on the new loader ensures the loader tyres can operate in conditions and sites that require less damage to ground and site conditions. “Landscapers, golf courses and ground care maintenance companies will find these options a significant advantage to skid steers. n Visit: www.jcbcea.com.au The JCB 403 compact loader improves safety with side entry HIRE AND RENTAL NEWS AUGUST 2019 P57 EARTHMOVING & MINI EQUIPMENT M A K I N G I N E F F I C I E N C I E S E X T I N C T www.makinex.com.au Jack Hammer Trolley Hose 2 Go Dual PressureWasher Generators Ideal products to support the Hire Industry.
