ACCESS IN ACTION Haulotte’s new distribution centre valued at $6.2m Haulotte Australia has commissioned design of a new distribution centre at Nexus Industrial Estate on Portlink Drive in Dandenong South, featuring 550m 2 of office space; 3,000m 2 of warehousing; and 5,300m 2 of container hardstand. H aulotte CEO, Alexandre Saubot celebrated the announcement with a site visit and sod turn ceremony when he was last in Australia attending HIRE19. Construction was set to begin in June with completion scheduled for November 2019 on the new facility estimated to be approximately $6.2 million. Alexandre said the custom-built facility will allow the company to cater more broadly to its clients’ logistical demands. “The purpose-built site at Nexus Industrial will allow Haulotte to grow its business and better serve our customers’ needs for safe and innovative elevated work platforms and telehandlers. “Australia is key to our world-wide growth strategy as we celebrate 20 years in Australia and we look forward to the next 20 years of success in our new sale and service subsidiary,” Alexandre said. Visit: www.haulotte.com Ahern International expands to Ireland Officially opened in June, Ahern International, the global distribution division owned by Don Ahern is now operating Ahern Ireland in Rathcoole, Dublin. T he exclusive provider of sales, service and spare parts for Snorkel mobile elevating work platforms and Ruthmann Bluelift tracked spider lifts for Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, Ahern Ireland will operate from a newly renovated 2,286sqm facility. This includes office space, warehouse and yard, plus a workshop for on-site repairs and rebuilds. It will stock a range of new machines, along with an inventory of fast-moving spare parts. A fully-equipped service vehicle will provide access to field-based technical service, parts and training. Under the direction of Andrew Fishburn, Ahern Ireland will be managed by David Roddy, who takes on an expanded role from his current position as Business Development Manager for Snorkel UK. David will be responsible for sales in Ireland and will oversee a dedicated team which will deliver world class service to Irish customers. Alec Boyle, current field- based technical support for Snorkel UK in Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland will relocate to Dublin from the UK to take up the full-time position of Lead Engineer for Ahern Ireland. Alec will be supported full-time by an office-based Customer Service Coordinator who will schedule service calls and handle parts orders and enquiries. A dedicated Customer Administration Coordinator will be the point person for all aspects of customer service, including customer enquiries, quotations, order processing, deliveries, and invoicing.
