Deon said the machine delivers firsts on five customer criteria including: • visibility – an unmatched operator view around the machine; • stability – a low centre of gravity to allow stable lifting while working at full reach; • mobility – up to 40km/h (20km/h with solid and semi-solid tyres); • manoeuvrability – two and four wheel steer and crab steering; • serviceability – ground level access to all maintenance points. “The Wastemaster features a cab guard Falling Object Protection System (FOPS),” Deon said. “In addition the JCB Hydradig’s white noise reversing alarm and red and white chevrons improves site safety over conventional excavators.” With the engine, driveline, hydraulic and diesel tanks mounted on the lower chassis, the upper structure has a reduced tail swing of just 120mm, 29% less than any competitive machine, allowing the machine to work on the most confined waste and recycling centre Deon said. “The lower centre of gravity also makes the JCB Hydradig Wastemaster incredibly stable when working with selecting and materials handling rabs at full reach, particularly over the tyres, even without stabilisers of dozer blade. “The reduced tail swing means the JCB Hydradig Wastemaster can lift more than competitive conventional tail swing machines.” The JCB Hydradig Wastemaster can be used with up to 50 JCB attachments.
