51 HIRE AND RENTAL NEWS • EVENTS in FOCUS • NOVEMBER 2018 EVENTS in FOCUS Shining a new way in hire at events Race clubs, public venues, offices and corporate clients across Melbourne are embracing a new way to offer value to punters and provide an ideal way to display key messaging by hiring a 21st century shoe shine concept – Polishoe. Available on a hire, lease, purchase or free hosting agreement basis depending on length and intended use and if the digital display is being used exclusively or is screening third party messaging or advertising, Polishoe is a high-tech automated polishing service. The high definition digital display screens serve the user of the machines and also passersby and can include event relevant information such as program, schedule and sponsors, or company messages. Polishoe users simply scan the code with a smartphone and click ‘get started’, then step their foot into the lower section where the high-quality shoe polishing cream is dispensed. Then step it onto the upper tray and have the Polishoe machine put a shine on their shoes and repeat for both feet. The Polishoe machine stands at 175cm tall on a small base (52 x 62cm) and offers digital communication and app- based interactivity, Polishoe founder and Managing Director Daniel Yess said. “Some venues have a long-term hire agreement for 6–12 months where sponsors can then book space on the display loop that also shows the ‘how to use’ instructions. Other hirers use the machine solely for the purpose of creating engagement with their target audience, such as Australian Unity. In this case shoe polishing is offered free to customers, and the screen is used only for the ‘how to’ and the hirer's key messaging,” Daniel said. Polishoe machines can come with paywave for fee-for-service shoe polish to either raise revenue or funds for a good cause, such as a charity. “While the Polishoe concept is not your usual hire item, going by the demand for the convenience on-the-go, there is a growing trend for these modern shoe- shine service machines and it is already finding strong integration in Australia.” Call: call 1300 952 857 or visit: www.polishoe.com.au The 21st century shoe shine concept – Polishoe Moreton Hire appoints senior NSW sales role Adding strength and reach to its business event market in the Sydney and NSW region Moreton Hire has appointed Richard Stehn to the role of Senior Business Development Manager.
