Taking the time to document all aspects of our business such as staff training, equipment quality, customer satisfaction, WHS, environmental impact and so much more were of major benefit to our business. Entering the award helped us to identify those areas which had not seen much attention prior to our application. We are so proud of the detail in our application we have printed it off and placed a copy in our meeting room for clients to read! Q: What has happened since winning the award? A: Since winning the award we have continued our commitment to industry. We have also been working on some fabulous events such as Floriade, Henty Machinery Field Days, Summernats, Spilt Milk and so many more, along with the variety of conferences, backyard parties and weddings. We have seen lots of content generated around the Barlens team due to the win and an achievement as exciting as this. Q: What has been the response to winning the award? A: The local market in Canberra and Albury were very responsive to the win, covering the story in our local papers and INDUSTRY in FOCUS across a few news sites. The company vibe was great; our team was so grateful to be recognised for all of their hard work. And, like any good team behind a party, a party we did have. Continued on p16...
