Aussie Pumps, has announced an
enhanced association with diesel brand,
Yanmar after many years as a purchaser
of Yanmar diesel engines for the range of
pumps and pressure cleaners it produces.
“
We are continually developing new
Aussie Pump products where our client’s
needs are more demanding,” Aussie Pumps
Managing Director Warwick Lorenz said.
New Aussie Pumps products such as the
Mine Boss and the Mine Scud have been
developed with a Yanmar diesel engine
providing the power.
“
Beyond product demands, there are
market forces that drive the direction
Engines and pumps forge stronger links
of our business. The world is swinging
towards diesel power as opposed to
conventional petrol powered engines. We
are sending more products overseas to our
burgeoning export markets.
“
Our business relationship has always
been first rate,” John Mason (Power
Products Area Manager – NSW) of Power
Equipment, Australian distributor of
Yanmar said.
“
But as the market has changed we
have come to support each other more.
Yanmar is a global brand with a worldwide
warranty. Aussie Pumps know the Yanmar
diesel engines will be supported anywhere
in the world their products are sold.”
Yanmar delivers engines which have
electric start with recoil start back up, shut
down kits and that will run long and hard.
“
As a company we are moving into
bigger pumps, trash pumps that require
60
hp diesel engines to drive them,”
Warwick Lorenz said.
“
We have been so happy with Yanmar’s
L series engines that we will be expanding
our supply chain to include Yanmar multi
cylinder water cooled engines into our
production.”

As sole Australian distributor for
SMC Light and Power, the UK based
manufacturer of lighting towers, Powerlite
Generators offer the TL-90 Metro Mobile
Lighting Tower, the SL-90 Static Lighting
Tower and the NEW MM-9M Mine & Metro
Mobile Lighting Tower.
The MM-9M can go from a metro hire
direct into mine hire without modification
because it is MDG15 compliant in standard
form, Powerlite Generators said.
The MM-9M has all the standard
features of the TL-90 including compact
size, 130 litre fuel tank, bunding, 9M
12
second deployment mast with 360º
rotation, plus 4 x 1500W Metal Halide
lamps and MDG15 compliance. Compact
design enables multiple units to be side
loaded and transported together, keeping
project and transport costs to a minimum.
For OH&S reasons the mast cannot be
raised without the hand brake being
activated and will automatically descend
Metro hire lighting to mine hire
should the hand brake be released.
Additional safety features include
improved access for routine inspection and
maintenance; emergency stop, LED dual
voltage road lights and reflectors, and a
mast deployment alarm and safety system.
Standard features include: lockable
battery isolator switch; PowerTilt Lamps
that allow a 45 degree lamp adjustment
when in operation; Auto-run Timer
Module that automatically starts and stops
the tower then switches on or off the
lamps in unattended operation situations;
and Lamp Park Bracket which restricts
lamp movement during transportation.
Four adjustable outriggers and wind
down jack legs ensure maximum stability.
Quiet operation makes it suitable for
sites when 24 hour onsite lighting is
required close to residential or populated
areas. All SMC lighting towers can be
configured to incorporate security cameras
for onsite safety and GPS tracking.
Powerlite’s SoftLight is a non glare all
direct lamp designed for highway and
mine access road use and is a MM-9M
option.
