Coates Hire is investing in new mini
excavators to meet growing demand.
The new models will include CAT 301.4
(1.4
t), CAT 303.5 (3.5t), CAT 305 (5t) and
the CAT 308 (8t).
The CAT 301.4 is a small yet powerful
conventional swing machine which
Coates Hire will package with a trailer
and three buckets. A towing weight of
under 2t makes the package quick and
easy to move, and its retractable under
carriage enables the machine to pass
through narrow openings (990mm wide)
the company said.
The CAT 303.5, CAT 305 and CAT 308

feature new engines that meet Tier 4

According to Coates Hire, the mini

design are built for the times
you are literally against the wall

The new E series machines also
feature a COMPASS (complete

control panel, which incorporates

large air conditioned cabins. The
joystick controls for the boom,

the console and have adjustable
wrist rests. Coates Hire has also
added automatic quick hitches to
enable the operator to safely swap buckets
without leaving the cabin.

Hyundai Construction Equipment
Australia (Hyundai) has increased its
standard warranty terms across all
machines excluding R800 and R1200.
Hyundai is offering a three year, 6,000
hour warranty on wheel loaders and R140-
9
to R520-9 excavators and a three year,
3,000
hour warranty on R16-9 to R80-9
mini excavators and skid steers, Hyundai
After Sales Manager Shayne Keyes said.
“
Other manufacturers provide extended
warranties but often there is fine print
or conditions that make it difficult for
customers to get the support they need
under warranty. Hyundai’s new warranty
is standard across the range and is a full
factory warranty,” he said.
Hyundai Australia representatives
are regularly invited to meet with the
equipment designers in Korea to provide
feedback on how to develop machines
that can cope with the harsh Australian
conditions.
“
Machines can be working in 45 degree
temperatures in the mine fields of the
Pilbara, or in a forestry application in
Tasmania where it’s two degrees and
raining. The machines need to be able
to handle those kinds of temperature
changes as well as prolonged periods
working in harsh conditions.”
Parts supply is the other side of the
support equation. Hyundai maintains
such a high level of parts in stock they
can guarantee supply above 99% of parts

Dingo Mini Loaders have improved
and grown up from the hydraulic
wheelbarrows of the past, according to
the manufacturers.
The company said the most popular
model for hire, the All Rounder Yanmar
diesel Dingo, has a Rated Operating
Capacity of 275kg and the bigger
Contractor Dingo will handle 440kgs.
The tipping limit is the weight you can
lift, measured at the mount plate, and
with an operator on board. The point of
balance and the Operating Capacity is
50%
of that. For more contact: 07 4672

Dingos grow up
within five working days.
The company has
25,000
product lines in
stock, which translates to
300,000
individual parts at
a value of more than $28
million here in Australia.
Hyundai’s global policy
is to support the product
with parts, which means
spending money to stock
parts as insurance that are
rarely needed.
“
Forty per cent of the
parts kept in stock are
rarely used, but we have
them there just in case a customer needs
them,” Shayne said.
