Inauro co-founder, Angus Kennard, appointed Chair of the Family Business Association

Over the past 24 years, Angus Kennard was instrumental in the expansion of Kennards Hire, which is now in its third generation.
His leadership as CEO was characterised by a deep commitment to the company’s people and culture as vital to its success. As a result, Great Place to Work ranked him as the seventh best Australian employer and the sixth best New Zealand employer (both with over a thousand workers). Customer Net Promoter Score went from 50 to 67 (>60=Outstanding) as employee engagement increased.
Angus is a driven developer and entrepreneur who founded the Concrete Care division of the Kennards group; divisions like this account for around one-third of the company’s sales today. With the introduction of the Easytrak telemetry platform, he digitally reworked the company. His new business, Inauro, is a continuation of his grandfather’s pioneering spirit. Angus is an avid promoter of family businesses and has been a member of an FBA discussion group for about 20 years. He has won the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2019 award for Sustained Excellence, is a GAICD, has a B.Bus, and an EMBA from the University of Sydney.
Kennards Hire is a pioneering member of the FBNZ and was recently inducted into the FBA Hall of Fame. Founded in Bathurst in 1948, Kennards expanded across Australia and New Zealand to include over 185 locations and 1700 employees.
