Hunting for Australia’s toughest trade
Hire & Rental Feb 10
New job ads from Kennards Hire have put a call out to Australia to help hunt down the toughest of trades with voting now underway.
Part of its latest campaign, the new Kennards job ads shine a light on the tough conditions tradesmen and women across Australia work in day-in, day-out.
The ads call out tradie requirements like ‘enduring hot summer afternoons, ‘facing heavy scrutiny by clients and neighbours’, and being ‘roped into doing ‘cashies’ on Sundays for distant relatives.
Breaking down the mullet-wearing, energy drink consuming construction trade clichés,
Kennards Hire wants tradies to know it understands the often gruelling environment tradies have to put up with and let them know how Kennards can help make their job easier.
Tough job
Lara Galvin, Head of Marketing, said: “Every day we hear from tradies how tough a work site can be. The heat, the rain, the physicality of the job, the constant changes of client briefs; it’s not easy.
“Tradies have one of the most physically challenging gigs around – regardless of whether they are a skilled chippie, sparkie, landscaper or plumber,” Lara said.
“And Kennards Hire wants to know which of the trades thinks they should have the title of the toughest.
“It’s pretty clear to us if you were looking through the ads, you definitely wouldn’t be applying for one of these jobs,” Lara said.
If you think your trade is Australia’s toughest you can vote here (file:////ausydpfsmsl0001/AUSYDMSL_Group/Clients/Kennards/Media/Toughest%20Tradie/toughesttradie.kennards.com.au) by completing the online poll with your name, email and your vote for the toughest trade.
As an added bonus, Kennards Hire is rewarding all tradies with 20% off selected products to let them know they are appreciated for the hard work they do.
